SUN Records

Going to where it all began.
Going to where it all began.

Not many can say they've recorded at the legendary Sun Studios in Memphis. The Vegas Valentinos can say they've recorded there 3 times. Home of the first recordings of Cash, Elvis, Jerry Lee and Carl, to name a few, this put Sun Records on the map and acknowledged forever more as the Birthplace of Rock N Roll. With notebooks full of original material, and rev'd up versions of Classic tracks recorded at Sun, The V V's walked through that door as strangers but were soon akin to homegrown talent. They were invited to play the Rockabilly Hall Of Fame concerts in Jackson TN 3  times, treating audiences to their wild stage antics and fun.

Hello Nashville

From Memphis to Nashville went the Vegas Valentinos. Tapping into the new sound out of Nashville that Montgomery Gentry, Toby Keith, Brad Paisley, and the legendary Alabama were putting down, the harmonies of the Vegas Valentinos were often described as "Eagle-esque".  Not to be too over produced, and of course, not too serious, they were guided through their vision by Johnny Neel, who produced the sessions. Johnny is currently involved in the Nashville scene but in the Outlaw Country realm. Working with Gov't Mule, Travis Tritt, and Montgomery Gentry , his keyboard work and production are legendary and sought after in Nashville by all wanting a "Bluesy-feel" to their Country offerings. A song of mention from these sessions is "Inflatable Date," which continues to be a crowd favorite.inflatable-date
